Special Offer Discounts BEA Day Passes for Staff at ABA Member Stores

This week, BookExpo America announced a special day pass rate for ABA member bookstores that would like to bring additional staff to the trade show in Los Angeles at the end of this month.

ABA member stores that already have an owner or staff member registered for the show can now purchase additional day passes for staff at the low price of $25 each.

To take advantage of the special rate, ABA members should call Diana Press at BookExpo America at (800) 363-3631 or send an e-mail.

Programming for ABA members begins on Wednesday, May 28, with "Welcome to Hollywood" tours and an author reception, co-sponsored by the Southern California Independent Booksellers Association.

ABA's Sixth Annual Day of Education at Hotel ABA, the Renaissance Hollywood, on Thursday, May 29, features 16 education sessions, including "Booksellers at the Tipping Point" and "Green Retailing," plus an opening keynote by actor, author, and environmentalist Ed Begley, Jr. ABA's Day of Education is free to ABA bookseller members; however, advance registration is required.

Thursday concludes with the presentation of the Book Sense Book of the Year Awards and a very special announcement at ABA's Celebration of Bookselling to which all BEA attendees are invited.

The BookExpo America trade show will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Friday, May 30, though Sunday, June 1. Admission includes access to exhibition halls, autographing sessions, many free education sessions, show specials, and special pavilion areas.
