Above the Treeline Adds Book Sense Bestsellers
October 25, 2007
This
month, Above the Treeline began adding Book Sense Bestseller data to its new
interface. Bookstores using Treeline software to optimize their inventory selections
can now scan weekly Book Sense Bestseller Lists and find which of those titles they have
in stock and which they may need to order, among other features. The lists are
available in ATL's new beta version under the "Watch List" feature.
The new ATL interface is set to officially launch in January 2008.
ATL's Ruth Bradstreet noted that subscribers had been requesting that the Book
Sense Bestsellers be added for some time. "The new interface has made it
easier to do," she added.
The Book Sense Bestseller Lists are accessible via the Treeline Title Lists'
Watch Lists. Under the "Other" option, users can choose their preferred
Book Sense Bestseller List. ATL then provides users with an "Inventory
Status Summary" pie chart, a macro look at how many titles from that list
are in stock, are out of stock, or were never in stock.
Users can also choose an option to see all of the books from the Book Sense
Bestseller Lists in a spreadsheet including title, author, SKU, supplier, pub
date, and price; what percentage of stores have a particular title in stock;
how many the store has on hand or on order; the store's market share per title
(new with the beta version); and last received and last sold information; and
more.
