Book Sense Gift Cards Prize for Spiderwick Sweepstakes

In conjunction with the February 14 release of the film The Spiderwick Chronicles, the Cartoon Network, Inc. (CN) and Paramount Pictures Corporation are partnering to sponsor a Spiderwick Chronicles Sweepstakes. Book Sense will be a retail partner of the promotion and will provide 50 $15 Book Sense gift cards as part of the sweepstakes prizes, and Simon & Schuster will be contributing prizes as well. The gift cards will be featured on the CN website throughout the promotion, which runs from February 11 to February 14.

The film is based on the bestselling Spiderwick Chronicles (S&S) series of books from Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. In addition to promotion on the CN website, there will be 30-second spots to run on CN from February 11 to February 17 promoting the film and driving kids to the Cartoon Network micro site to enter to win a Spiderwick Chronicles prize package. The commercials will also include a visual of the Book Sense gift cards.

The sweepstakes can be entered by logging on to the Cartoon Network website, located at www.cartoonnetwork.com.

The Spiderwick Chronicles prize pack consists of: one The Spiderwick Chronicles poster, one iToys Deluxe Action Figure, one Creature Capture card game, one Simon & Schuster Spiderwick Chronicles Movie Companion, one The Spiderwick Chronicles video game for PlayStation 2, and one $15 Book Sense gift card. The Book Sense gift cards are redeemable only at participating bookstore locations and websites located within the United States. No change will be given on any unused balance. Balance for purchase and tax charges in amounts in excess of the value of the gift card must be paid at the time of the transaction.
