Rock Bottom Remainders to Celebrate 15 Years of Terribly Good Music

The Rock Bottom Remainders -- the all-star writer band -- will be celebrating their 15th anniversary with a performance at New York City's Webster Hall on Friday, June 1, during BookExpo America. Proceeds for the special event, dubbed the "Still Younger Than Keith Tour," will benefit Get Caught Reading, 826NYC, and the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression.

BEA attendees are invited to join the Rock Bottom Remainders as they "celebrate 15 years of terribly good music." For the June 1 benefit concert at Webster Hall in New York's Greenwich Village Stephen King will join Scott Turow, Dave Barry, Mitch Albom, Amy Tan, Ridley Pearson, Greg Iles, Roy Blount Jr., James McBride, Matt Groening, Kathi Kamen Goldmark, as well as special guests Frank McCourt, Andy Borowitz, and others.

The reviews of past RBR shows have been notable, and, as RBR guitarist and humor writer Barry once observed, "This band plays music as well as Metallica writes novels."

Built in 1886, Webster Hall -- located at 125 East 11 Street -- was the scene of the famous costumed balls that raised money for progressive causes advocated by Emma Goldman, Marcel DuChamp, and Margaret Sanger. Eugene O'Neil described it as "the jewel of the village."
