IBF Takes Orders for "People in Bookshops" Calendar

The
International Booksellers Federation (IBF), a non-governmental organization
of booksellers associations and booksellers from around the world, is now accepting
orders for its 2009 "People in Bookshops" calendar. Among the calendar's
22 photos of bookstores in 18 countries is one by Bryan Pearce of University
Book Store in Seattle, Washington. The photo was chosen from more than 180 submissions
from bookshops around the world.

An order form for the calendar, which has a unit price of five euros, is available
on the IBF website.
The Selection Committee for IBF's third bookshops calendar was chaired by former
European Booksellers Federation (EBF) president and IBF Council member Doris
Stockmann. Other members of the committee were past IBF presidents Yvonne Steinberger
and Eric Hardin; current IBF president Karl Pus; EBF president John McNamee;
and then-ABA president Russ Lawrence of Chapter One Bookstore in Hamilton, Montana.
