You’ve Got Mail -- First E-Mail Edition of BTW Launches

Welcome to the first issue of the new Bookselling This Week e-mail edition.
BTW is now a redesigned, online information resource for independent
booksellers, available free to the book industry. We've begun this week with
our expanded coverage of bookselling and publishing, with more frequent updates
throughout the week of news about independent bookselling, books, authors, important
free expression issues, and much more.
This e-mail "headline" edition of BTW contains all the week's
stories and a brief summary. Simply click on the story's link to direct your
Web browser to the full story at the ABA's members' Web site, www.BookWeb.org.
The BTW home page, http://news.bookweb.org/,
includes a navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen. It features links
that will take you to additional stories on Book Sense, features on authors
and intriguing new titles, more on ABA initiatives and ABFFE, and much more.
Among the new features available are downloadable PDF files of the redesigned
and expanded Book Sense Bestseller Lists, now coming to booksellers a day earlier
each week with more titles and "On the Rise" books. There's also a
search engine at the BTW page, to locate previous stories, and there
are additional links to important information. At the bottom of each page there
are links to BookWeb.org and BookSense.com.
Current subscribers to Book Flash This Week are automatically receiving
the new e-mail edition of BTW, but access to BTW online is open
to anyone in the industry. There is no charge for digital delivery, and it's
hoped that as many as possible within a bookstore or publishing company will
sign up for direct delivery of the weekly e-mail.

The key goal in launching BTW online is to provide booksellers with
the most timely delivery of information possible -- the information that will
help them to sell more books and to serve their customers better. BTW
