Book Sense Kids' Books Garners Media Attention for Independent Booksellers
Book Sense Best Children's Books: Favorites for All Ages Recommended by Independent Booksellers -- a collaboration of Newmarket Press and the American Booksellers Association's Book Sense marketing program -- has been noted by media outlets nationwide as an indispensable resource for children's literature. The book's buzz has also garnered press attention for local independent booksellers. Building on the success of Book Sense Best Books: 125 Favorite Books Recommended by Independent Booksellers, published by Newmarket in 2004, Book Sense Best Children's Books features 240 favorite children's book recommendations from independent booksellers with Book Sense.
"We're very happy that many of the booksellers who contributed to the book have been actively handselling Book Sense Best Children's Books on their local TV and radio shows," said Newmarket Publicity Director Harry Burton. "The public respects independent booksellers' opinions, which is why the book resonates and why local media is interested in having them speak about books for children."
