March Workshop to Focus on Opening a Bookstore

The Bookstore Training & Consulting Group of Paz & Associates is holding its next intensive workshop, "Opening a Bookstore: The Business Essentials," from Monday through Friday, March 16 - 20, on Amelia Island (near Jacksonville, Florida). The program will focus on topics ranging from financial dynamics and making a profit to choosing a computerized management system and selecting opening inventory.

Facilitators Donna Paz Kaufman and Mark Kaufman will offer participants an introduction to the book industry plus strategies and contacts to help launch a successful business.

The workshop is aimed at anyone planning to open a bookstore and those who would like to learn more about what it takes to launch a business that will contribute to the local economy for years to come. Registration is open for the full five-day course, or for Session 1, "Retail Bookselling: Creating Foundations for Success," on Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17; or Session 2, "Ready, Set, Open for Business! Planning & Store Set-up," from Wednesday through Friday, March 18 - 20.
