Photos Sought for 2008 IBF Bookstore Calendar

Building on the success of its 2007 50th anniversary calendar, The International Booksellers Federation (IBF), a non-governmental organization of booksellers associations and booksellers from around the world, is seeking bookstore photos for possible inclusion in its 2008 calendar currently in production.

Reflecting the theme "Inside the Bookshop," the calendar will feature between 40 to 48 photos of bookstore interiors. IBF is encouraging booksellers to be imaginative and to send photos of anything dealing with the bookshop interior and bookshop life.

As an IBF member, the American Booksellers Association is helping to collect photos from ABA member stores for consideration by IBF. Photos can be uploaded to the Bookstore Photo Gallery Forum on BookWeb.org or sent on a CD via mail to ABA, Attn.: Jill Perlstein, 200 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, NY 10591.

Photos must be submitted in the following format: TIFF or JPG format; 250 DPI -- 2953 x 2953 pixels. Booksellers should provide the name of the store, the full address, and contact details. A maximum of two interior photos per store is permitted. The deadline for photo submissions is February 5, 2007.

The IBF 2008 Calendar will be available in spring 2007. For more information, contact ABA Marketing Director Jill Perlstein at jill@bookweb.org or call (800) 637-0037, ext. 6642.
