Updated Wholesaler Holiday Hours & Cut-Off Times

It's a very busy time of year, and not every wholesaler was able to provide us with their extended holiday hours in time for last week's issue. Here's an updated and expanded list of wholesalers' extended holiday hours ... and, after checking our list twice, for good measure, we've added wholesalers' cut-off times for holiday ordering.

Here's a rundown of the holiday hours as provided by several major wholesalers:

Beginning Friday, November 28, through Tuesday, December 23, Baker & Taylor's phone ordering hours for book product will be:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. EST
• Saturday and Sunday, Noon - 6:00 p.m. EST

On Wednesday, December 24, Baker & Taylor's phone ordering and service hours will be 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. EST.

Beginning November 28 through December 23, Baker & Taylor's Customer Service Department hours will be:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. EST

Cut-off times for holiday ordering are as follows:

From Monday, November 17, through Wednesday, December 24, Bookazine's holiday hours will be:

• Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. EST
• Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. EST
• Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST

Electronic and web orders are accepted 24 hours, seven days a week. Bookazine will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Orders received by bookstores' normal cutoff time from Monday - Friday ship same day; orders received between 12:01 a.m. Saturday and 6:00 p.m. Sunday receive priority shipping on Monday morning and earn an additional one percent discount.

New York City local customers only: On orders received by 11:00 a.m. same-day delivery is available through December 24. New York City booksellers should contact their representative for the Saturday delivery schedule.

From Friday, November 28, BookStream's holiday hours are:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Electronic orders can be placed 24 hours a day.

BookStream will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The cut-off time for holiday orders is 3:00 p.m., December 23, for Christmas Eve delivery.

From Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, December 31, the distributors' holiday hours will be:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST

The distributors will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and New Year's Day.

The cut-off time for holiday orders is 4:00 p.m., December 23, for local customers and next day delivery.

Ingram's customer care hours will not change for the holiday season. The hours will remain:

• 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. CST, seven days a week
• Ingram's credit department has expanded holiday hours:
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST
• Sundays (November 30 - December 21), 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. CST

Ingram's shipping department will also have expanded holiday hours. It will increase its utilization of parcel carriers for shipments during December in order to provide consistent service and help minimize potential delays.

Ingram will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Partners/East Book Distributing's hours are:

• Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST
• Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST
• Saturday, December 13, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST
• Saturday, December 20, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST
• Christmas Eve, closing at 2:00 p.m. EST

Partners' will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The cut-off time for holiday orders is December 24, 1:00 p.m.

From Monday, December 1, through Tuesday, December 23, Partners/West Book Distributing's hours are:

• Monday - Friday, open 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., PST. All orders received by 3:00 p.m. PST ship same day;
• Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST. Warehouse also is open for emergency order pick ups;
• Electronic orders can be placed 24 hours a day;
• Christmas and New Year's Eve, closing 3:30 p.m. PST.

Partners/West will be closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The cut off time for Holiday orders is Dec. 24th, 3:00 p.m.

Partners/West will resume usual operating hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday, on Friday, December 26.
