Publishers Weekly is seeking nominations for its 20th annual PW Bookstore and Sales Rep of the Year awards, to be presented in June at BookExpo America. The deadline for nominations is February 20.

On Monday, January 23, at its midwinter meeting in Dallas, the American Library Association announced the winners of its 2012 awards for children’s and young adult titles.

At the 62nd annual National Book Awards ceremony, held yesterday in New York City, stories of struggle were honored and the award winners, who included three women of color, gave voice to them. Also honored with lifetime achievement awards were Books & Books’ Mitchell Kaplan and poet John Ashbery.
