On Monday, IndieCommerce informed subscribing stores of a new policy regarding available inventory. Beginning this week, only publishers’ titles that are made available to retailers for sale in all available formats will be included in the IndieCommerce inventory database.

In recognition of Valentine’s Day, we present the Indie Love & Romance Bestseller Lists, based on sales at independent bookstores nationwide for the eight-week period ending February 5, 2012.

Wednesday at Wi7 will be capped by an interview of award-winning historian Douglas Brinkley, author of The Great Deluge: Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, by Bob Minzesheimer of USA Today. Here Brinkley talks about the heroes and bad faith players in Hurricane Katrina, indie booksellers’ role in the area’s economic recovery, and his upcoming titles.
